From what company size is an AWK required by law?
In Austria, every company with more than 20 employees is legally required to prepare a written waste management concept and to update it in the event of significant changes.
When does a waste management concept (AWK) have to be updated?
According to the AWG, a waste management concept must be reassessed and updated with every significant operational change, but at least every five years, to secure legal compliance.
What does an inspection under § 82a GewO involve?
A systematic self-inspection of the plant that checks whether all conditions of the permit decision are fully met and documented.
Do you also take on the role of waste management officer?
To a limited extent, preferably on an interim and mandate basis. For a permanent internal appointment, we are happy to qualify a person from your team and hand over in a structured way.
